Bat Mitzvah Cartoon
This is a response to an article on the adult bat mitzvah movement by Linda K. Wertheimer in the July 30 Boston Globe magazine. "During the last decade," Wertheimer writes, "the practice of an adult marking a bat mitzvah has become increasingly popular and an institution in both Reform and Conservative temples. Even Orthodox women are shaking up tradition, learning rituals once forbidden to them, though the pace of change is slower." Wertheimer's article focuses on the experiences of a group of women, including herself, at Temple Shir Tikvah in Winchester.

Hi Rich--It was great to meet you too at Grub Street. Thanks for showing up to the Brown Bag.
I love your comics! I'm been so enamored with graphic novels and comics lately--the last two I read and loved were Chris Ware's "Jimmy Corrigan", Miriam Englebert's "Cancer Made Me a Shallower Person." Lynda Barry is one of my all time favorites.
Glad to meet you and good luck with your work. I look forward to reading more.
Warmly,
Grace
